Education and educators are increasingly identified as key players in policy initiatives  that seek to address ‘extremism’ and ‘radicalisation’.  New constructs of professional practice are promoted within these policy documents both in terms of education and higher education.  This one day conference interrogates the litany of education and higher education policies that have emerged since 2011 and considers these in the light of debates around values, faith and constructs of professional identity.
