In this episode, the second in the “Educated Unmasked” podcast series, Professor Tanya Ovenden-Hope, ½¿É«µ¼º½ SIG Convenor for Educational Effectiveness and Improvement and Council Member, discusses the role of the UK teacher education professional bodies, UCET and NASBTT, with their Directors James Nobel-Rogers and Emma Hollis. 

UCET (UK) and NASBTT (England) represent the interests of a broad range of Initial Teacher Education and Teacher Education providers, from schools to universities.  COVID-19 presented, and continues to present, a range of challenges to for teacher education, both in training to teach and for continuing professional development. Tanya will explore the role of UCET and NASBTT and their responses to the way in which the pandemic has impacted on teacher training and how they perceive this may shape the future of the teaching profession.
