Yinka Olusoga is a historian of childhood and education in the School of Education at the University of Sheffield. Herr research focuses on the discursive construction of children and childhood in the educational policy, political debate, art and popular culture, in the present and in the past.

Kate Cowan is an early years specialist researching children鈥檚 play and communication from a multimodal perspective. Based at UCL Knowledge Lab, her research covers areas including literacy, creativity and digital technologies. Kate鈥檚 work also involves developing multimodal methodologies, video-based methods and participatory approaches with children.聽
