½¿É«µ¼º½ Election Results

Following a very competitive election where turnout was almost double that of 2014, we are delighted to announce the outcome of the 2015 ½¿É«µ¼º½ Elections.

Sean Hayes has been elected as the ½¿É«µ¼º½ Treasurer and will begin his 4-year term in September.

The election for Council was highly competitive and after the final redistribution of votes, two candidates were effectively tied so ½¿É«µ¼º½ Officers have decided to make use of an additional vacancy on Council and five candidates have been elected.

The five will start their 3-year terms in September. Gary McCulloch and Liz Todd will serve their second terms and Mark Priestley (previously a co-opted member), Ruth Boyask and Marilyn Leask will start their first terms.

Many congratulations to those elected and commiserations to the unsuccessful candidates. It was very encouraging to see such a strong interest in serving on Council and there will be further opportunities to serve on ½¿É«µ¼º½ Committees in the autumn.
