With the announcement of the 2025/2026 Small Grants Fund recipients, ½¿É«µ¼º½ is proud to share that we have now awarded over £500,000 in research funding since 2020. These investments have supported 69 research projects and fellowships that strengthen educational research and practice across the UK and internationally.

Our funded work spans a wide range of pressing issues, including teacher education, the impact of Covid-19, artificial intelligence and digital change, race and ethnicity, inclusion, and SEND/ASN. Together, these projects contribute vital evidence to inform policy, improve practice, and advance knowledge in education.

What we’ve funded

½¿É«µ¼º½â€™s funding portfolio combines fellowships, small grants, and strategic commissions. Programmes have included:

• The BCF Curriculum Investigation Grant

Alongside these core initiatives, we have also worked in partnership with other organisations to expand our impact and strengthen opportunities for researchers.

Since our founding in 1974, ½¿É«µ¼º½ has grown into an internationally renowned association with over 2,500 members worldwide.
