°Â±ð’r±ð delighted to announce that the Teacher Education Advancement Network (TEAN) is joining the British Educational Research Association. From summer 2025, it will become the ½¿É«µ¼º½ Teacher Education Advancement Network — a move that secures °Õ·¡´¡±·â€™s future and allows its important work to grow within µþ·¡¸é´¡â€™s wider community.

TEAN has created a valued and inclusive space that champions teacher education, supports professional development, and connects research with practice. ½¿É«µ¼º½ recognises the significant contributions TEAN has made, and we are committed to sustaining its distinctive programme. °Â±ð’r±ð also grateful to the University of Cumbria for its longstanding support and to the TEAN Executive, past and present, whose work has shaped the network. Many of them will continue to guide °Õ·¡´¡±·â€™s work under the ½¿É«µ¼º½ umbrella.

There is strong alignment between °Õ·¡´¡±·â€™s mission and µþ·¡¸é´¡â€™s — including a shared commitment to teacher educators, research-informed practice, and representing all UK nations. °Õ·¡´¡±·â€™s annual conference will continue under ½¿É«µ¼º½, as will its popular webinar ²õ±ð°ù¾±±ð²õ.Ìý

As TEAN transitions into ½¿É«µ¼º½, we will be in touch with current contacts to invite them to opt in to stay connected. In the future, those who wish to stay fully involved in and benefit from °Õ·¡´¡±·â€™s activities will need to become ½¿É«µ¼º½ members. Many the network will already be ½¿É«µ¼º½ members or have come to our conference or wider events already. We will ensure that this will be accessible and beneficial and we’re also taking steps to preserve access to events for non-members and ongoing communications. ½¿É«µ¼º½ membership will hopefully enhance the experience of being part of TEAN and bring wider opportunities.

This partnership is built on shared values and mutual respect. °Â±ð’r±ð excited about what lies ahead and warmly welcome TEAN into the ½¿É«µ¼º½ community.
