½¿É«µ¼º½ is offering a great opportunity for a new team of editors to renew and refresh one of the most highly regarded educational technology journals.ÌýBJET is one of ½¿É«µ¼º½’s four prestigious Journals. All ½¿É«µ¼º½ Editors have responsibility for the content and editorial direction of their Journal. They work closely with an editorial board, a panel of reviewers, and an enthusiastic and effective team at our publishers Wiley who also provide dedicated editorial support.

Editing a ½¿É«µ¼º½ Journal brings funding to support editors in their work – including support to attend UK and international conferences.

Becoming an Editor of a ½¿É«µ¼º½ journal gives you an opportunity to play a key role in the shaping of educational research. As Editor you decide on the kinds of papers that will be published and on the topics that will feature in and special issues, virtual issues and which will be highlighted in marketing and PR campaigns. You are also responsible for appointing Associate Editors and members of the Editorial Board. The role would also allow you to see the publishing process from the inside and to learn what influences Impact Factors and citation rates, as well how published research can achieve broader impact, for instance across social media.Ìý 

Partnership with Wiley, the leading society publisher, means that research published in the ½¿É«µ¼º½ journals is available in thousands of libraries around the world. The journals are hosted on one of the most innovative and heavily used sites in all global publishing and are present at the key education conferences globally.  Together with Wiley and ½¿É«µ¼º½, as Editor you have a hand in creating a positive experience for our authors, readers, librarians and others who interact with educational research.

At Wiley, the ½¿É«µ¼º½ Journal Editors are supported by a dedicated team of publishing specialists:

Editorial Office Manager:

On hand to make sure that the online submission system works efficiently, taking responsibility for the administration of all papers and ensuring they move through the review process as swiftly as possible. They will also train and support new Editors on the technical side of ScholarOne Manuscripts.

Journal Publishing Manager:

Provides day-to day-support for the overall development of the journal. They will be on hand to discuss new initiatives and opportunities, as well as advising on a host of issues, from plagiarism to impact factors.

Production Editor:

Responsible for the production of papers post acceptance (including copyediting, typesetting, author corrections and issue compilation) and provide updates and advice on page budgets.

Marketing Manager:

Responsible for the marketing of the ½¿É«µ¼º½ journals, including planning and implementing campaigns, organising conference attendance, preparing publicity material, and reporting on readership and circulation.
