Call for Higher Education SIG Convenor

An opportunity has arisen to become a SIG Convenor for Higher Education and help lead the SIG over the next 3 years.聽

The aim of the Higher Education special interest group is to contribute towards and enhance critical debates and perspectives on higher education policy, pedagogy and practice. This is a broad remit that embraces interdisciplinary research with critical research methodologies, theories and philosophies.聽

Research interests聽

  • Teaching and learning approaches and issues
  • AI in higher education
  • Assessment and Feedback in higher education
  • Higher Education in Further Education (HE in FE)
  • Pedagogies for transformation / transformative pedagogies
  • Being an academic
  • Being a student
  • Policy trajectories
  • Academic development and capacity building strategies
  • Doctoral education and supervision

SIG aims

  1. Engage a large range of HE colleagues in discussions to drive excellence.
  2. Explore and give voice to the different areas of interest in HE.
  3. Promote the work of members and support their activity.
  4. Supporting members for the 娇色导航 conference and through activities and events during the year.
  5. Exploring collaborations between the HE SIG, other 娇色导航 SIGs and external networks.

If multiple expressions of interest are received an election may be run.

By agreeing to assume a position of SIG convenor, individuals are committing to fulfilling the responsibilities and obligations that go with that role. SIG Convenors are expected to exercise their own judgment to meet the requirements listed in 娇色导航 guidance and to seek further advice from the 娇色导航 Office if in any doubt on any of these matters. If any procedures are not followed then 娇色导航 reserves the right to take whatever action may be necessary to protect 娇色导航鈥檚 legal, financial and reputational position.

This role is intended to serve a 3 year term, finishing 31st December 2029
