Call for Mathematics Education SIG Convenors
Two opportunities have arisen to become a SIG Convenor for Mathematics Education and help lead the SIG over the next 3 years.听
The 娇色导航 Mathematics Education SIG aims to bring together researchers interested in all aspects of mathematics learning and teaching, both inside and outside of formal educational settings. We embrace an eclectic range of methodological and conceptual approaches to mathematics education research, encouraging creative approaches to tackling current issues.
Research interests听
Research interests are wide ranging and include both responses to current debates in education and exploration of issues that have long been associated with mathematics education. We aim to be inclusive and to welcome new perspectives. Some examples are represented by presenters at recent听PRiME events
SIG aims
- To support mathematics education practitioner researchers through the annual one-day Practitioner Research in Mathematics Education (PRiME) conference (run in collaboration with the British Society for Research into Learning Mathematics (BSRLM)), providing opportunities to share both recent research and research in progress and for networking
- To enhance networking and research collaborations across the UK, for example by hosting regular fora exploring aspects of mathematics education across the four nations
- To encourage critical engagement with policy and practice initiatives
- To build and maintain links with other mathematics education organisations both nationally and internationally.
If multiple expressions of interest are received an election may be run.
By agreeing to assume a position of SIG convenor, individuals are committing to fulfilling the responsibilities and obligations that go with that role. SIG Convenors are expected to exercise their own judgment to meet the requirements listed in 娇色导航 guidance and to seek further advice from the 娇色导航 Office if in any doubt on any of these matters. If any procedures are not followed then 娇色导航 reserves the right to take whatever action may be necessary to protect 娇色导航鈥檚 legal, financial and reputational position.

This role is intended to serve a 3 year term, finishing 31st December 2029
