Donna Dey, Mrs

Lecturer in Education at University of Dundee

Donna Dey is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Dundee, where she leads modules on health, wellbeing, and equity in education. With over a decade in teacher education and 16 years in secondary education as a biology teacher and Principal Teacher of Guidance, Donna brings extensive classroom and leadership experience. Her research focuses on social justice, wellbeing, and transitions in education, alongside innovative approaches to supporting student attainment. As Curriculum and Assessment Leads for Postgraduate Teacher Education programmes, and Master of Education (MEd) programme, Donna has led innovations in assessment practice, including a move to holistic assessment. This has reduced workload and ensured staff provide constructive next steps for students.
