Brittany Wright, Mrs
ESRC-funded doctoral student at University of Nottingham
Brittany Wright is the Early Career Researcher Network Regional Rep for the Midlands.
Brittany Wright is an ESRC-funded doctoral student in the School of Education at the University of Nottingham. Her research explores women鈥檚 experiences of formal and informal learning across three generations in a former coal-mining town in the Midlands. She also works in teacher education and is a former secondary school English teacher.
Although her most recent school-based role was as Head of English in a large secondary school, Brittany has also led on provision for 鈥榞ifted鈥 learners and coordinated widening participation programmes focused on supporting learners from disadvantaged backgrounds in pursuing further and higher education. Since moving into initial teacher education, Brittany has also worked with schools in North London, supporting professional development of teachers and overseeing curriculum planning for English across primary and secondary phases. As a teacher educator, she has taught across both PGCE Primary and PGCE Secondary courses.
