Ellen Vanderhoven, Dr

Lecturer at University of Glasgow

Currently a Lecturer at the University of Glasgow School of Education, my research and teaching interests focus on education policy from international and comparative perspectives. I have a particular interest in how youth transitions are conceived and managed by policy structures at global and national scales, with much of my work focusing on vocational education and training generally and dual models of apprenticeship in particular. Most importantly, I am interested in ensuring that the views, priorities, and interests of young people are reflected in and upheld by education policies. My work is informed by sociology and youth studies, and takes a particular interest in social inequalities of different kinds, including gender and social class.
