Jennifer Marshall, Dr

Senior Lecturer in Education Studies and MA Education at University of Derby

I am a senior lecturer at the University of Derby and have worked in a variety of educational contexts for over 20 years. I have taught in secondary schools in the USA and Japan as well as teaching English as a foreign language to children and adults in Poland. I worked for several years as an ESOL teacher, lecturer and Cambridge examiner in the UK. Working with international students led to research interests in internationalisation policy, comparative education and English language needs in higher education. I am currently the Assistant Head of Discipline for Education, Childhood and SEND in the Institute of Education. My book An Introduction to Comparative and International Education is now in its third edition.
