Katharine Burn, Dr

Associate Professor Of Education at University of Oxford

I am an Associate Professor of Education at the University of Oxford. I have variously served as PGCE Course Director and as Director of the Oxford Education, Deanery, a partnership initiated with local schools, intended to support teachers’ continued engagement in and with research at all career stages. I currently lead a master’s programme in teacher education, which encompasses teacher educators from a wide variety of contexts, school and university-based, nationally and internationally. My research interests span teacher education policy and practice, but I also have a keen interest in history education – particularly the ways in which history teachers go on learning in order to respond to new curricular priorities.
