Sasha McKoy, Miss

PhD Candidate at Goldsmiths, University of London

Sasha McKoy is a PhD Candidate in Educational Studies at Goldsmiths University. She holds a Master of Arts in Social Justice and Education at University College of London's (UCL) Institute of Education (IOE). She has made valuable contributions in teaching within academia, and is an experienced researcher across the social policy and higher education sector.

Her work has focused on the development and implementation of policies and practices that advocate for racial equity and institutional change within educational contexts and wider society.

Using an intersectional and intergenerational lens, her doctoral research focuses on the construction of Black males’ sociocultural and educational identities with consideration of how this dictates their conceptualisations and navigation towards success.
