Vlad Glaveanu

Dr. Vlad Glăveanu is a Full Professor of Psychology in the School of Psychology at Dublin City University, where he also serves as the Director of the DCU Centre for Possibility Studies. Additionally, he holds the position of Professor II at the Centre for the Science of Learning and Technology at the University of Bergen, Norway. He is the founder and president of the Possibility Studies Network (PSN), a global initiative dedicated to exploring human creativity, imagination, and potential. Dr. Glăveanu’s work focuses on sociocultural approaches to creativity, imagination, collaboration, and wonder, as well as their applications to societal challenges. He has authored and edited numerous influential works, including The Possible: A Sociocultural Theory (Oxford University Press, 2020), The Palgrave Handbook of Creativity and Culture (2016), and The Oxford Creativity Reader (2018). His research spans diverse topics such as innovation, curiosity, wonder, agency, utopias and dystopias, possibility thinking, perspective-taking, and creative learning.
