½¿É«µ¼º½ Conference 2026

8 September 2026 to 10 September 2026University of Manchester

Hot topics now open

We have developed the opportunity to put forward a ‘Hot Topic’ session for our 2026 conference in Manchester. These sessions highlight highly topical research that may have been developed after the usual abstract submission deadline, and address an area of education research that is current, critical, and likely to be of great interest to ½¿É«µ¼º½ members.

These proposals will be reviewed by the Conference & Events Committee on the following criteria:

  • Relevance of the topic to the promotion of educational research
  • Clarity of research question(s) and/or focus of enquiry
  • Quality of the research (potential research)
  • Significance for educational practice, policy or theory
  • Topicality and timeliness (double weighted)

To avoid disappointment, Hot Topic abstracts must be original, and not have been submitted for the main  conference abstract call.

The number accepted is based on the availability within the programme. These will be given a 90 minute slot.

The main submitter must be a ½¿É«µ¼º½ Member. If accepted all presenting authors will need to register at the current registration rates.

The deadline for submissions is the 11 June 2026.

You must be logged in as a ½¿É«µ¼º½ Member to see the submit button below.
