Dr Abbie Cairns is an artist-teacher-researcher specialising in adult education in the UK. She works as a teacher-educator in a higher education in further education (HE in FE) context, delivering programmes in post-16 and lifelong learning initial teacher education, as well as a Master’s in Education. Her research focuses on teacher identity and processes of identity transformation. Both her artistic practice and her research employ storytelling techniques as a means of communicating ideas to audiences, whether through visual or written forms.
