Dr Abigail Parrish is a lecturer in education at the University of Sheffield. She teaches on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes focusing on teacher development and languages education and is a former secondary modern foreign languages teacher. Her main research interests centre around motivation in language learning, using self-determination theory, and school-level language policy. She crochets in her spare time.
