Alice Reedy (she/her) is a senior lecturer at the University of East London in the Initial Teacher Education department. She teaches on the Primary PGCE and the Primary Education BA courses, specialising in the teaching of primary English. She comes from a background in the classroom, having taught and led in primary schools in East London before entering higher education. She has conducted research into children’s reading engagement, focusing on practical implications for teachers to support children to feel motivated and excited to read.
