Ashleigh Abbott is a postgraduate student currently studying for a Master’s in Education at the University of Sunderland. She is also a qualified primary school teacher, having graduated from the same institution in July 2024. As part of her postgraduate studies, she is undertaking a module titled ‘Curriculum in the Contemporary World’, which has shaped her current interests in language education, culture and curriculum design. Her work explores the role of culture in the primary languages curriculum in supporting children’s early cultural awareness and understanding.
