Babatunde Taiwo Ojewunmi, Dr

Head of Technology at The Jo Richardson Community School

Dr Babatunde Ojewunmi holds two master’s degrees, one in food science and the other in educational research. He has also completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) programme at University College London and earned a PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge. His academic achievement was recognised with the Homerton Santander Outstanding Achievement in PhD Award prize. Babatunde is a Chartered London Teacher (CLT), a designation that recognises and rewards educators' commitment to inclusive education and their role in transforming education in London by working to raise the achievements of all pupils and challenging educational underachievement and the disadvantaged. He has served as the London Borough of Redbridge’s primary and secondary school governor. With more than 18 years of experience as a secondary school teacher, he has held numerous leadership roles, including data and assessment coordinator, PSHE coordinator, subject coordinator, and second-in-command for disadvantaged pupils and head of Food Preparation and Nutrition (FNU) department. Currently, he is the head of technology overseeing vocational subjects – Con.| D&T| Eng.| FNU| H&C, teaching and learning, curriculum development and assessment.
