Bethan Garrett, Dr

Lecturer at Lancaster University

Dr Bethan Garrett works at Lancaster University in the Department of Educational Research, where she teaches on Education and Social Justice courses, with a particular interest in environmental justice. Her role as Lecturer in the Morecambe Bay Curriculum (MBC) means she is a core member of the team leading the MBC movement. She is currently contributing to the delivery and evaluation of a range of projects designed to support place-based education in the region, with a view to improving health and social outcomes. Beth is passionate about coastal education and outdoor learning, and is keen to support the motivation and engagement of teachers and pupils in making the most of their locality.
