Dr Carl Emery is a senior lecturer at the University of Manchester. He teaches a series of social justice and education units as well as researching the intersection between power, poverty and place as part of the Local Matters programme. Carl is also the joint convener for the Power, Inequality and Activism research and scholarship group.
