Catherine Ann Hughes has recently moved from the UK to Rochester, New York. She has worked in education at all levels from teaching undergraduate Education courses to Reception children including being a secondary school Design and Technology teacher in Manchester. She has taught both in the UK and internationally. Catherine has a doctorate in Education and believes strongly that research should be relevant to practitioners. Her most recent publications look at the role that playground equipment has on the making and maintaining of friendships and using a visual indicator to identify researcher identity.
