Catherine Walker is a research fellow in Human Geography at Newcastle University, exploring how children, youth and key adults in their lives are experiencing and responding to environmental challenges. Catherine’s current research focuses on meanings and practices of climate justice, with a particular focus on how both meanings and practices are negotiated intergenerationally in classrooms, and the role of both educators and students in these processes. Catherine is leading the British Academy-funded Classrooms for Climate Justice research collaboration.
