Emma Davis, Mrs

Emma Davis is a PhD student, Lecturer in Education and the dissertation lead on undergraduate programmes. Drawing on her experience in early years practice and leadership, she is particularly interested in qualitative methodologies, with a focus on narrative inquiry. Her doctoral research explores early years leadership through the co-construction of practitioner narratives, emphasising ethical storying and inclusive representation. Alongside her academic work, Emma regularly contributes to national Early Years publications, writing on themes of pedagogy, leadership and the profession. Pedagogical interests include outdoor play and learning, leadership in practice, and questions of equity and social justice in education. She is passionate about supporting students to engage critically with research and about building collaborative spaces for researchers and practitioners to share knowledge.
