Emma Percy graduated with a BSc in Social Policy and Sociology from The Open University in 2013. She went on to complete a PGCE at the University of Brighton. Emma subsequently taught at a variety of primary schools with her focus predominantly on key stage 1. Emma recently graduated with an MEd (Inclusive Practice) from The Open University. During her study time, she took a position as a bookseller. Encounters within the bookshop led her to question the impact of schools’ reading practices on children’s reading experiences.
