Janet Ramdeo, Dr

Associate Professor and Head of Initial Teacher Education (ITE) at University of Greenwich

Dr Janet Ramdeo (PFHEA) is an experienced teacher educator, having worked in a variety of academic and programme leadership roles in universities across London and Cambridge. Janet is currently an Associate Professor and Head of Initial Teacher Education. She has primarily worked in international teacher education and initial teacher training (ITT). Previously, she had supported and led institutional curriculum development from an inclusive education perspective and the implementation of the Race Equality Charter Action Plan. Janet's research focusses on how Black female teachers create their professional identities in spaces which rarely represent them, illuminating their experiences through intersectional and Black feminist lenses. She continues to research the lived experiences of racially minoritised groups in educational settings.
