Joshua Lait is a PhD researcher in the Geography Department at the University of Exeter. He is the principal investigator on an interdisciplinary project that explored how national, regional, and local education policies impact local/regional travel patterns in Devon. This project was funded by the EU through the SSH Centre. His doctoral research examines how education policy and strategy impact energy consumption and environmental sustainability in schools in England. This research is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. Previously, he held an energy research fellowship at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. This fellowship was funded by UKERC and explored the emerging role of longer-duration energy storage in the UK’s power and heat sectors.
