Josie Scammell is a fourth-year PhD student at the University of Oxford. Her current ESRC GUDTP funded DPhil research explores the processes of creating and sustaining a trauma-informed organisational culture across educational settings. Prior to her PhD, Josie completed a master’s in English literature at Oxford Brookes University, before completing her PGCE at the University of Oxford and working as an English teacher. Alongside her PhD, Josie has been a trustee within an Alternative Provision Academy and currently acts as a non-executive director within a Community Interest Corporation supporting disadvantaged young people through nature-based learning interventions.
