Lucas Maxwell is from Nova Scotia, Canada and has been working with youth in libraries for more than 15 years. He is the recipient of the School Librarian of the Year Award 2017 and in 2024 was awarded a British Empire Medal for his work with schools and libraries. His debut young adult novel will be out with Chicken House Books in 2026.
