Dr Mario Moya is the course leader of the MA in Education and a visiting lecturer at various local and international higher education institutions. His current research focuses on wellbeing and belonging in higher education, exploring ways to enhance student engagement and success. He has led consultancy projects for NGOs and educational institutions, specialising in the internationalisation of the curriculum. Currently, he is involved in designing a national curriculum for a Gulf country, with a particular emphasis on language education and the integration of positive psychology in the classroom. His work aims to raise the academic attainment of minoritised students in both compulsory education and universities, ensuring more inclusive and supportive learning environments.
