Nigel Fancourt is Associate Professor of Education and Values at the Department of Education, University of Oxford, and Director of Doctoral Research. Formerly a lawyer and teacher, his research interests are in law and human rights in education, particularly around questions of freedom of religion and belief. He is also a member of the OSCE/ODIHR's Expert Panel on Freedom of Religion and Belief.
