Place-Responsive Pedagogy in Educational Research and Practice
Person
I teach and research in the field of education. My research centres around philosophical and psychoanalytic perspectives of education, with particular interests in thinking with actor-network theory, literary theorists, and the works of Jacques Lacan. My empirical work is ethnographic, through which I explore education as complex and dynamic practices. I am co-convenor of the International Teacher Education Research Collective – a collaboration of international researchers focused on issues surrounding the knowledge base, ethics and politics of teacher education. Additionally, I am part of the organising committee for the annual Oxford Ethnography in Education Conference.
