Thinking of writing a book proposal, book chapter or editing a book. Whether you are an early career researcher, a practitioner, or an experienced academic, understanding how to pitch your book effectively to publishers is essential. This practical and engaging event will demystify the book proposal process.

You will gain insight into how proposals are reviewed. Including to how to articulate your book鈥檚 unique contribution, define its audience, position it within the existing market, and demonstrate its value and originality.

We will hear from two case studies of recent published books. The authors will highlight their journey including the pitfalls, the review process and timelines.

This event offers participants the opportunity to benefit from the publishers perspectives alongside published authors. By the end of the session, delegates will leave with a clearer understanding of the academic book proposal process and increased confidence in developing and submitting a strong, competitive proposal.
