Dr. Sam Passeport (she/her) is an Instructional Designer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the founder of No Borders Learning, a platform dedicated to relational and critical pedagogies. Before working in higher education in the Netherlands, she taught in PK-12 schools in France (her home country), Bulgaria, and international schools in India. Sam recently completed her doctorate with a thesis titled “Thank you for the feedback, but no!” Listening to the experiences of first-year students encountering the ‘power’ of teacher feedback.” Her research examined feedback cultures in higher education, foregrounding relational approaches over performative ones. She has authored professional development resources and currently chairs the AEA-Europe Assessment Cultures Special Interest Group.
