Selar Othman Ali, Dr

Selar is Manager of Quality Assurance and Accreditation at University of Kurdistan Hawlêr and lecturer at Erbil Polytechnic University. She has a PhD in Education (higher education reform policy) from the University of Southampton and Master’s in Education (effective teambuilding in higher education) from the University of Nottingham. She was assigned to several vacancies and responsibilities, quality assurance officer, head of grants and funds, cultural relations, training center, scholarships and delegation, international office at universities and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kurdistan region of Iraq (KRI), EU project manager, TOT, researcher, event moderator, and facilitator. She is also a country representative for Imperial English UK (IEUK). Selar has taught several program modules in public and private universities in the KRI, has published research articles in international and local journals, and has been assigned as guest editor for Frontiers in Education Journal. Her research interests are higher education reform, quality assurance and accreditation of higher education, internationalization of higher education, lifelong learning, refugees’ education, and transformational education.
