Doctoral Researcher at University of Birmingham

Sheona Goodyear is a University of Birmingham, College of Social Sciences funded PhD student. This work is underpinned by a desire to raise awareness, promote conversation and counter silencing and marginalisation for the victims and survivors of child sexual abuse. She is particularly interested in interpretive methodology and ethical application of heuristic inquiry and autoethnographic research.
With a diverse teaching background in primary school, creative arts and further education, Sheona progressed to managing outstanding Inclusion and Special Educational Needs provision at large further education and land-based colleges. Professional curiosity and drive to make a difference for young people prompted further training and exploration of neurodiverse perspectives.
