Kiran Qasim Ali

Senior instructor at Aga Khan University

Kiran Qasim Ali is a senior instructor at the Aga Khan University Institute for Educational Development (AKU-IED). With more than a decade of experience in teacher education and curriculum development, her work focuses on game-based learning, technology-integrated pedagogy and strengthening teacher capacity in low-resource schools. She has designed more than 50 low-cost educational games for teachers in Karachi, Pakistan, and has led professional development initiatives across South Asia, East Africa, Central Asia and the United Kingdom. An educational developer and instructional designer, she bridges research and practice to create innovative and contextually relevant resources. She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and recipient of the 2024 AKU-IED Award for Excellence in Sustained Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
