Sarah Hopkyns, Dr

Lecturer at University of St. Andrews

Sarah Hopkyns is a lecturer at the University of St Andrews and at University College London. She is also a visiting research fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies. Her research interests include language and identity, critical approaches to English Medium Instruction, multilingualism, translingual practice and linguistic landscapes. She has published widely in journals and is the author of The Impact of Global English on Cultural Identities in the UAE (Routledge, 2020) and co-editor of Linguistic Identities in the Arab Gulf States (Routledge, 2022).
