Suzanne Graham is Professor of Language and Education at the Institute of Education, University of Reading. Her research focuses on language learning in schools, with particular interests in effective pedagogies for developing learners’ language skills, their creativity, empathy and motivation. She also investigates teacher development and motivation. Since 2022 she has been co-investigator of the Digital Empowerment in Language Teaching project, part of the Economic and Social Research Council’s Education Research Programme, which investigates the role of technology in language teacher and learner development. She is also co-chair of the Research in Primary Languages Network.
