Vivienne Rwang, Dr

Teaching Fellow at University of Southampton

Dr. Vivienne Kachollom Rwang currently holds the position of Teaching Fellow with the Southampton Education School of the University of Southampton. She was previously a mentor to MSc students in the Southampton Education School and an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor with the department of Arts and Humanities, University of Southampton.
As a practitioner, academic, and author, she is passionate about driving educational effectiveness and improvement in challenging contexts by combining real-world experience with research expertise to advance education in for displaced children.
Vivienne engages hands-on work in teaching, leadership, mentoring, and consultancy, ensuring practical solutions for educational improvement. As an academic, she conducts research on education policy, displacement, and inclusion, contributing to knowledge that informs best practices. Her mission is to apply evidence-based strategies to enhance education effectiveness and accessibility for all learners especially for internally displaced and marginalised children. Her interests include.

Vivienne completed her Doctoral Degree from the Southampton Education School, University of Southampton, UK. She had previously obtained an MSc in Education Management and Leadership from the same university. Prior to joining the University of Southampton, Vivienne was a primary school teacher for 25 years, and a headteacher in Nigeria. Through her education consultancy outfit, she has offered professional development training to numerous schools.
