Dr Karen Potter is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education and Inclusive Practice at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. She teaches preservice teachers to implement inclusive literacy practices for students with a wide range of abilities and disabilities. Her scholarship has focused on inclusive practices for students with complex support needs as well as on addressing opportunity gaps for these and other learners, including learners with both language learning and special education support needs.
