Dr Tracy Ann Hayes is Associate Dean (Research and Innovation) in the School of Education at Plymouth Marjon University, where she leads the Youth & Community Work Programmes and is the Post Graduate Research Co-ordinator. A qualified youth worker and community development professional, she has published for public, practitioner and academic audiences.
Tracy completed her transdisciplinary PhD in 2018, awarded by Lancaster University. Her research explored the relationship young people have with the natural environment. She takes a playfully narrative approach, embracing creative methodologies, particularly reflexive auto/ethnography, creative non-fiction and storytelling. Research areas include youth & community work, sustainability, social justice and inclusion.
In 2018, she was the recipient of the Anna Craft Creativities in Education Prize for her paper, ‘Responsive, Responsible Research’ at the ½¿É«µ¼º½ 2018 Annual Conference.
